Subscription & Billing Terms
Last updated: June 22, 2026
These Subscription & Billing Terms ("Billing Terms") describe how paid subscriptions to Orblet work. They are part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. "Jatgam," "we," "us," and "our" mean Jatgam LLC.
Summary (the binding details are below): Some Orblet features require a paid subscription. We may offer a free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; you keep access through the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or by the app store.
1. Subscriptions and what they cover
- Orblet offers free features and premium features that require an active subscription (for example, the meal planner).
- A subscription is associated with a family. While active, the subscription's premium features are available to that family according to the plan.
- An active subscription also removes the advertising shown on the free tier. See the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for how the free tier and advertising work.
- We may change which features are free vs. premium over time. We will not remove a premium feature you are actively paying for during your current paid period without providing notice and a reasonable remedy.
2. Free trial
- We may offer a free trial of premium features. Eligibility and trial length are shown at sign-up.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and the applicable fee is charged using your selected payment method.
- Trials are limited to one per user/family unless we state otherwise, and we may modify or discontinue trial offers at any time.
3. How you can subscribe (billing channels)
You may purchase a subscription through:
- Apple App Store (iOS) — billed by Apple through your Apple Account.
- Google Play (Android) — billed by Google through your Google Account.
- Web — billed through our Merchant of Record, Paddle, which acts as the seller/reseller of record, processes payment, and handles applicable sales tax/VAT.
The merchant and the cancellation/refund process depend on where you bought the subscription (see Sections 6–7). We do not receive or store your full payment-card details; payment is handled by the channel you choose.
4. Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically. At the end of each billing period (for example, monthly or annually, as selected), your subscription renews for another period of the same length and your payment method is charged the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- The renewal date and price are shown at purchase and, for app-store purchases, are also visible in your Apple or Google account settings.
- For app-store purchases, Apple/Google may charge within the 24-hour window before the period ends, per their rules.
5. Pricing, taxes, and changes
- Prices are shown at the point of purchase in your local currency where available.
- Taxes: for web purchases, our Merchant of Record calculates and remits applicable sales tax/VAT. For app-store purchases, the store handles applicable taxes.
- Price changes: we may change subscription prices. Any change applies to future billing periods and, where required by law or app-store rules, we will give you advance notice and the opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect. Continuing the subscription after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time. Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed:
- iOS: manage or cancel in your Apple Account → Subscriptions settings.
- Android: manage or cancel in Google Play → Subscriptions.
- Web: cancel through the account/billing portal provided by us or our Merchant of Record, or by contacting support@orblet.app.
Effect of cancellation: cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access to premium features until the end of the current paid period, after which the subscription does not renew and premium features become unavailable. Cancelling does not, by itself, delete your account or data — see the Privacy Policy for deletion.
7. Refunds
- Fees are non-refundable, and partial periods are not refunded, except where required by applicable law or by the app store's policies.
- iOS / Android purchases: refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We generally cannot issue refunds for store purchases; request them through the store.
- Web purchases: refund requests are handled by us and/or our Merchant of Record in accordance with applicable law and the Merchant of Record's policies. Contact support@orblet.app.
- Statutory withdrawal/refund rights (for example, certain consumer rights in the EEA/UK) are not affected by this section.
8. Failed payments and lapse
If a renewal payment fails, the billing channel may retry per its rules. If payment is not completed, your subscription may lapse and premium features may become unavailable until payment succeeds. Your non-premium data and access remain subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
9. Family scope and changes
- A subscription applies to the family it was purchased for. Adding or removing members does not create additional charges unless a plan specifies per-member pricing.
- If a plan's structure changes (for example, introducing tiers), we will describe how existing subscriptions are treated and give notice where required.
10. Changes to these Billing Terms
We may update these Billing Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email, and the "Last updated" date will change. Changes apply to future billing periods. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Billing Terms.
