Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jatgam LLC ("Jatgam," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with Orblet, our household-management application and related websites, web app, and mobile apps (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Subscription & Billing Terms.

  • Company: Jatgam LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company
  • Mailing address: 390 West St., STE 3 #1036, Mansfield, MA 02048, United States
  • Privacy contact: privacy@orblet.app

1. Who can use Orblet

The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and form or join a family. Children do not create their own accounts. Information about children is entered by the adults who manage a family (see Section 6, "Children's information").

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: your email address and password (passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider; we never see your plaintext password).
  • Profile information: display name and optional profile avatar image.
  • Family content: the information you and your family members create, including calendars and events, tasks, lists and list items, meal plans, recipes and ingredients, notes, and similar content.
  • Member information: names and optional avatars for the real and "virtual" members you add to a family, including children (see Section 6).
  • Childcare information: for children you add, the designated parents/guardians and required-childcare dates or schedules you configure.
  • Support communications: information you provide when you contact us for support.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and push information: when you opt in to notifications, we store the push registration token(s) for your device(s) so we can deliver reminders. We record your notification preferences.
  • Diagnostic and usage data: limited technical logs (such as error reports, timestamps, and basic request metadata) used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
  • Approximate technical data: IP address and device/browser type, as processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers for security and delivery.

2.3 Payment information

When you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple, Google, or our web payment provider (see Section 5). We do not collect or store your full payment-card details. We receive limited transaction and subscription-status information (for example, that a subscription is active, its plan, and renewal/expiration dates).

We do not sell your personal information for money. The free tier of the Service is supported by advertising, and we use privacy-respecting usage analytics; both are described in Section 2.4.

2.4 Cookies, advertising, and analytics

  • Usage analytics. With your consent, we collect privacy-respecting, aggregate usage analytics to understand which features are used and to improve the Service. This analytics is cookieless and does not build a personal profile of you; events never include your name, email address, or any of your family's content — only coarse, anonymous signals such as which area of the app was opened. We honor your browser's "Do Not Track" setting, and you can change your choice at any time in My Profile → Privacy.
  • Advertising (free tier). The free tier of the Service displays advertising provided by third-party advertising partners. Those partners may use cookies or similar device identifiers to measure and serve ads. Subscribers are not shown advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money; depending on where you live, an advertising partner's use of identifiers may be treated as "sharing" or a "sale" under state privacy laws, and you may exercise the choices described in Section 11.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, and operate the Service and your family workspace;
  • authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • deliver the notifications and reminders you have opted into (event, task, childcare, and similar);
  • send transactional and service email (such as invitations, account notices, and, if you opt in, the weekly agenda digest);
  • process and manage subscriptions and entitlements;
  • provide customer support;
  • monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies): performance of our contract with you (providing the Service); your consent (for example, push notifications and optional emails); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service); and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How information is shared

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers / sub-processors that operate the Service on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. These currently include:
    • Supabase — backend hosting, database, authentication, file storage, and realtime services.
    • Resend — transactional and digest email delivery.
    • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Google/Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — delivery of mobile push notifications.
    • Paddle — web subscription checkout, billing, and tax handling (as our Merchant of Record).
    • Apple App Store and Google Play — in-app subscription purchases.
    • Cloudflare — delivery of the web app and marketing site.
    • Third-party advertising partners — serving and measuring advertising on the free tier.
  • Within your family: content you create in a family is visible to the other members of that family. This is the core function of the Service.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Jatgam, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfer: if Jatgam is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. On the free tier, our advertising partners may receive limited information as described in Section 2.4; depending on your jurisdiction this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can exercise the opt-out and other choices in Section 11.

5. Subscriptions and payment processing

Some features are available only with an active subscription. Purchases made on iOS or Android are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. Purchases made on the web are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, which acts as the seller of record and handles billing and applicable taxes. Please review their privacy policies for how they handle payment data. Billing terms are described in the Subscription & Billing Terms.

6. Children's information

Orblet is a family-management tool, so adults naturally record information about children — for example, a child's name and childcare schedule — when managing their household.

  • Children do not have their own accounts. A child is represented as a "virtual member" whose information is entered and controlled by the adult family members. The adult who provides a child's information is responsible for having the authority to do so.
  • We use children's information only to provide the family-management features you configure (such as showing a child on the calendar or alerting designated parents about uncovered childcare days). We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not knowingly request more children's information than needed for these features.
  • We do not knowingly allow children under 18 to create their own accounts. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account in violation of our Terms, we will deactivate it.
  • Forward-looking note: we may in the future allow a family organizer to add supervised child profiles that a child can sign in to. If and when we enable any feature that involves collecting information directly from a child, we will first obtain verifiable parental consent where required (including under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, "COPPA") and update this Privacy Policy accordingly. Until then, no such feature is offered.

If you believe a child's information has been provided to us in a way that requires our attention, contact us at privacy@orblet.app and we will address it promptly.

7. Push notifications

Notifications are strictly opt-in. The operating-system prompt is never triggered automatically; you choose whether to enable notifications, and you can disable them at any time in the Service settings or in your device settings. Disabling notifications does not generate a backlog — you will not receive catch-up notifications for the period during which they were off.

8. Data retention and deletion

  • We retain your information for as long as your account and family exist, and as needed to provide the Service.
  • You can delete your data. Deleting a member, a family, or your account removes the associated content and stored files (including avatar and recipe images) from active systems.
  • Residual copies may persist briefly in backups, logs, or caches and are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course.
  • We may retain limited information where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

To request deletion or ask a question about your data, contact privacy@orblet.app.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls that scope data to your family, hashed passwords, and least-privilege access for our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

10. International users and data transfers

The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may exercise many of these directly in the Service (editing your profile, managing members, deleting content, or deleting your account) or by contacting us at privacy@orblet.app. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

  • EEA/UK users: you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
  • California and other U.S. state residents: we do not sell your personal information for money. On the ad-supported free tier, an advertising partner's use of cookies or identifiers may be treated as "sharing" or a "sale" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws; you may opt out and request access or deletion as described above (contact privacy@orblet.app).

12. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (such as the app stores or calendar subscription via ICS). Their handling of your information is governed by their own policies, not this one.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
